Academics Overview

At Harrisburg University, we have 12 different programs that are concentrated in the STEM field. STEM being Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. All of those programs are providing our students experiential hands-on learning within the classroom environment. The university tries really hard -- and I think is successful -- at keeping up with industry standards. And one of the ways we do that is we hire faculty who have real-life experience, not just pure academia. So for example, I was a family doctor for 30 years. And now I'm teaching and using my experiences to make the courses more interesting and engaging for the students. For a university to be accredited, which we are recognized through the Middle States Accrediting Body, essentially, is providing that student competence that the degree that they're earning or is meeting certain expectations from that from that body. The quality of the education I think is top-notch. We really have a very purposeful selection of the faculty and staff at the university. And they are here to really just equip our students with the best experiences that they're able to have during their undergraduate career.
